No, we're not stocking up on beer and munchies.  We are, however, working on our new studio.  Upon moving back to Ohio, we found that our new place had some issues.  Namely, the entire back wall of our garage needed to be replaced.  Fortunately, we are industrious and skilled tenants, and decided to go ahead and fix it ourselves rather than wait for our landlord.  This was not a problem with our landlord, as it was just more work that he would not have to do himself, and so we set ourselves to work.  After a few days, we replaced the rather large hole in the back wall of the garage with an even bigger, gaping hole, then studded out the wall and replaced the old boards with new sheathing.  Within another week or so, we should have the interior wall replaced, and be able to begin setting up our workshop and studio area in earnest.
   The move from Virginia to Ohio has been an adventure, and most of our belongings and materials for our work is still in Virginia.  The next phase of our transition will be for Michelle and I to go back via train and load up all our personal furniture, belongings, tools, wood, and vintage furniture for painting, and load it into a big truck for transport back to Fostoria.  Then, we can finish up our studio and workshop area for Phase Three: painting our butts off.  We have a good selection of vintage furniture, and will be creating a new line of nightstands and other works for sale in the coming year.  We also will be creating an original booth for artisan crafts shows, which Michelle and I can take from show to show and set up ourselves.  I'll finally be able to put my experience in building displays to some practical use.
Yes, 2013 looks to be the busiest year yet for us.  Stay tuned, because there is a lot more to come!
